Mystik is perfect for your prototypical magic ability user. Mystik augments all Magic damage, and provides a useful harassment boost to the laning phase. Mystik does not offer any utility or defense however, so position carefully.

Situational/Defence Items Notes

✮ Barrier token is needed if enemies can 1 hit you (Malady,Moxie,Caprice,Ray and Funny Carter).

✮ Cursed wand is needed if enemies build so much of Resistance or having many tanks.

✮ Oracle's Tinklet should be brought when your team doesn't have any cc and keeps feeding without that CC. Heal them and also break that CC.

✮ Hexbane is a must for every fed ADC or a Minerva o_O

✮ Get Shadowveil if you never see your enemies building any tokens early and hunt them down whom you can kill easily.

Final Build Notes

This is how your final build looks like if you don't build some defence items ✌

By this time you can just 1 hit your enemies with your Ultimate if they don't have any defence. Keep getting Health or Power tomes to become Stronger if you need to after this final build.

Swap your Crystalline Shiv with Wizard's Hourglass and finally get the Soulstealer.

You should only do this full build with no defence, if the game is easy for you. I don't recommend any of this with no defence. You should really get some defence.

Introduction

Hello, I'm DarkStar representing from the SNAX team. I've played mages in MOBA's for almost 3 years and I've learned so much about the mages like Malady here. Malady is a very strong Assassin who can hunt and just 1 hit with the ultimate, which seems OP to carry games with her heavy burst damage.
Some of my achievement on Malady here - 


In this Guide we will focus mainly on Malady with Mystik. In my opinion Malady does heavy burst damage with these items and Mystik only.

Malady's Overview

Malady is one of those heavy damage Assassin in Strife. She can almost kill everyone including tanks with just her ultimate if so fed. Building her with pure power gives you a God like damage. 

Don't build regen items or some nasty components. You will be considered a huge noob, building a mage with all random components. Her abilities are what makes her a very good Assassin. 

Abilities combined together like Q+W are incredibly strong as the Q can stun for 2 seconds at max level and W can deal devastating damage right from the start.

Your playstyle is what makes you a very good malady. Some pro players try to bait out your abilities cause Malady is a very good damage dealer. If you miss the Stun, your most probably DEAD. It is easy for your enemies to kill you. They might be so clever to bait out your stun, so watch out for that. 

Pet

We will be discussing about the Pet's here.

Our only choice would be Mystik in this build. We need that heavy burst damage. We will cover about how Mystik can be useful with this build.

As we all know that, Mystik is a very good partner for all the Mage's in Strife. It can not only increase your magic damage, but it can also harass them whenever you use an Ability. We will focus more about harassing your enemies with your W. 

You should keep harassing the enemies and also the creeps at the same time with your W. Mystik will help you so much to harass them as well with its ability "Dive bomb". So keep harassing them and make them eat health pots. You will be ahead in the GPM and also they will loose so much farm while trying to sit in their towers. This is why we choose Mystik in this build, as the items and components we are choosing makes Malady what she is.

Mystik's ability can also hunt out an enemy if they are running with low health and kill them with its Dive bomb ability. It can also regen your Mana with just 1 click. You can easily regen how much mana you used to damage the enemies with Mystik and also the Fel blade with mana regen component we are taking early game.

The other choice would be Fitz.

Malady can be very good with Fitz as well because this Fitz can not only give her Extra bounty, but also the increased move speed making her perfect Assassin to gank other lanes and help them. It can also damage enemies and even grant you their vision when it's dealing damage with its "Shadow Stack" ability.

Fitz lack the ability to increase magic damage unlike Mystik. It maybe good for ganking and gaining a better GPM trade even if you die. But we are only focusing on doing extra damages with this heavy burst damage build. I recommend using Fitz, if you want a very good movespeed and help other lanes (Probably with friends) cause it is easy to communicate when to/when not to gank. 

Abilities

In this section we will discuss about the Malady's Abilities: 

  • Q (Whirl Wind): Your main ability to stun and do a very good combo with W as these both can deal heavy damage to the enemies. It can not only be used to stun, but it can also be used to help your teammates too. But be sure you will not miss this. Missing this can KILL you easily as the enemies will be so clever to bait this ability. Try to use this very carefully knowing the enemies movement. You should give this as your second priority in leveling up.
  • W (DarkStorm): Your another great ability to deal heavy burst damage right from the start. It deals significantly high damage right from lvl1. You should be maxing this first and give this as your first priority to level up ability. It can be very useful in harassing enemies in your lanes combined with mystik. It's so good to waveclear your lane faster than your enemies. Another good combo would be using this with your Q.
  • E (Golden Gate): This ability is so much to discuss. We will jump into another section to make you understand better.
  • R (Bolt of Bedlam): This is what makes malady what she is. Her ultimate Bolt of Bedlam is a very good ultimate that deals very high damage. It can just 1 hit your enemies with no defence. It can deal more than 2k damage with full items. I can just say it's SO OP ASF.

Laning

In your lanes, you should farm with your W and keep clearing waves  faster. You can then try to harass with your autos for better trades with creeps. You should not just W on creeps, but use it along with enemies too. It can deal a good damage when combined with Mystik and its ability.

You can max out W and then Q and completely ignore E if you know when/when not to trade enemies. Pro players would really do this for doing heavy damage and they max out W and Q faster and completely ignoring E. I don't recommend this if you don't have much knowledge about how you move or about this game. 

You will be getting your Rocket boots by lvl6 and then start getting kills. You should be easily killing your enemies with that high damage you have. Thanks to Mystik ♥ You really need to start getting kills right after lvl6. You need to get items faster so you can deal godlike damage and completely dominate the game. 

Start ganking once you reach lvl6. I recommend ganking bot lane. It is much harder to fight 1v2 rather than 3v2. You can get heaps of gold and xp for ganking bot lane rather than ganking a duo lane because it is shared between 3 people. But here, it's shared between 2. DON'T leave your lane showing enemies that hey look I'm going bottom lane. Get back out of enemy vision or walk away from bushes.

Don't go too close to the enemies that can easily kill or stun you. You would be in a huge trouble there. Don't ever miss your stun closely to such enemies. YOU'RE DEAD if you do this. It's easy for this to kill you, unless you can stun them. You can only get out of this when you have Rocket boots. 

Focus mainly on squishes that you can easily kill or the enemies that are never building any defence at all. It is your good opportunity to get fed and make your enemies rage quit or even make them fight among themself. DON'T ever focus tanks first. It's not your job to get tanks first. There are many other hero's that can very good in killing tanks. Please don't trouble yourself. Don't waste your abilities just for creeps. Your W can be enough to do the wave clear. You might need those abilities to kill enemies all of a sudden who knows.

Once you get Items like Crystalline Shiv, Arcane Emblem and Grimore you can fully go YOLO and kill enemies very much easily than you did earlier. They deal heavy burst damage ignoring the defence enemies has. DON'T ever ignore these 3 items. Use them with the components like i mentioned in the build. 

Team Fights

Your main job in Team fights is to stay back. Let your tanks tank you and let you kill the squishes. Don't ever initiate first alone. You will die easily. You need to be alive to do heavy burst damage to everyone in the fights.

You have that damage to do that. Some of the points good for you to do will be:

  • Killing squishes before the team fights even starts. Know their movement where they will be coming and start killing them first being safe. This is a very GOOD ADVANTAGE for your whole team. This can not only make your team win the team fight, but also make them to back off rather than doing 4v5's sometimes.
  • You should really use abilities real quick once when you see all your enemies are merged together. You must do your Q+W combo and kill them easily with this. Thanks to your enemies for letting them give you this opportunity. This can not only give you double, but can also save you from using another Q+W combo.
  • ALWAYS, ALWAYS kill away those enemies who can kill your entire team in the team fights. It's better to sacrifice yourself to get them with the damage you can deal them. Your team can easily win the 4v4 fights back then.

Malady's Wall Guide (Golden Gate)

Malady's E is an extremely powerful tool when used properly. It can used as a wall, a mini-windrush, a root, or for vision. Using Malady's wall is tricky especially with little experience

This section shows you some of the Wall placements and strategies that I have found in my time playing as Malady. Hopefully these can increase learning of Malady's Wall placement technique's and give you ideas for your own techniques.

Here you can just block them from running away and make them your own kill by placing a wall in such way. It makes your enemies to come closer to you for running away or makes them to decide what to do.

These images show you how you can use your wall to completely block your enemies paths. It's so good to stop making them chase you or running them away from you. Important Points

  • Don't ever go so close to the enemies that can kill you easily.
  • Never miss your Q. Enemies are so clever to bait it and kill you.
  • ALWAYS kill those squishes first who you can kill easily.
  • Bushes are your friends. Yes, they are. ALWAYS bait for your enemies to come there and turn them into gold.
  • ALWAYS sacrifice to kill those enemies who can kill your team entirely.  Easily win teamfights
  • Better to kill the enemies before the team fights start and making it a 4v5.
  • Always harass your enemies in your lanes with the W combo along with the creeps.
  • Use your wall to help teammates or enemies running away. 
  • Finally, Your Ultimate is a GOD. Praise it doods.
